Most people know Ventannen as either the nicest or the worst continent on Set. It sits split down the middle between the largest meatscape on the planet and a series of idyllic forests and plains. Jungles and deserts mark a clean divide between the realm of sleepy towns and easy-going travellers and the nightmares of the Southern Veinlands. What few stop to think about is the raging firestorm of blood, metal, and glory nestled deep in the Knobbled Cutters. Like Cloneston in Darimesa, Ventannen has its own urban terror; the Chopping Blocks.
Once upon a time, the Chopping Blocks were a series of major cities. Ataveno, Newehli, Basgaddali - names no one bothers to remember anymore. Today, the Chopping Blocks are the proving grounds and graveyards for hundreds of mercenary companies, vying for the region's key resource; trash. The huskland is home to rows upon rows of decommissioned Space Looney equipment and densely dotted with garbage hauler processing facilities. It is there that those treading the awkward line between desperately overequipped and desperately broke fight for their last chance at redemption - financial or otherwise.
