WILL WORK FOR FOODMost aliens that came to Set had some sort of welcoming party. They were exiles, nomads, or the lost and the damned left drifting - most folks could relate. They were stranded on a planet that was just shy of uninhabitable, full of xenophobic lunatics and unexplainable happenings - no one's ever disagreed. If the people up in orbit weren't busy at the time, new breeds of castaways were usually welcomed in like kinfolk. The paleworlders didn't get that treatment. No one was happy to see them. The paleworlders are one of Set's most common species, but most do not consider them intelligent. For the most part, this is largely accurate; of their widely-dispersed population, it is estimated that there are no more than 40,000 that fulfill the requirements of sentience. By comparison, it is estimated that there are at least several million paleworlders, split evenly between Set's surface and orbit. Despite this, their adaptable nature and swift reproduction rate have enabled them to thrive in countless environments. ARTICLES- Nomenclature- Physiology- Behavior- Reproduction- Culture- History
