MORE THAN YOU CAN EATOn Set, dinner is as much a brush with death as a day in a coal mine. If it's not finding the food that gets you, it's the food itself. Pseudocrustaceans, paleworlders, and even some of the nastier fish in the sea are just as liable to kill you as a live grenade. Even when it seems like it's been gutted, butchered, and left out for the taking, odds are that it's the stuff so many people stepped in they made a religion out of it; the meat. The meat is something like its own biosphere all in one. It encompasses everything from single-celled viruses right on up to massive intestinal monoliths running a red kind of photosynthesis. It grows, spreads, and creeps across everything it can find, from dirt, to flesh, to thousand-ton war machines. It's been contracted, weaponized, and served up deep-fried by just about every sentient species on the planet. It's hated, loved, and feared by just about everyone who's ever heard of it. It's been the longest-running epidemic on the planet for a thousand years running. And that's really what it's called. ARTICLES- Growth- Meatsification- Meatscapes- History (Under Development)
