I am a Nomad living within the United States, living on the road in a Class-C RV. Most of my Roleplaying is done powered directly by the sun! Unfortunately this means I work wherever and whenever I can, but I hope to play with all of you. With my personal introduction out of the way! Here is my current character. I've played this one for many, many years.
First name: Valadile - Surname: Diecast
Aliases: The Lesser One, The Thing
Affiliation: Outlaw
Species: Ferrous Landwyrm, lesser type
Birthplace: Somewhere in Space aboard a big ship
Birthdate: 13th of Sardonyx, 4111 (100 years ahead of an earth calendar)
Height: 8 foot at the shoulder
Weight: ~1500
Gender: Try asking Valadile
SUMMARY
I don't want to drag this on so I’ll itemize this list.
Diet: Omnivore, capable of ingesting soft metals.
Biology: Chemicals, unless extremely acidic and capable of damaging hard metals, will not damage Valadile without lots of exposure. Valadile’s ancestors were ferrous beings ‘forged on an anvil’ until the lesser of they came along. Valadile is at the tail end of a long breeding project to create urban warfare specialsits that are capable of cross-breeding with other species of Valadile's own kind. Valadile is not capable of subsisting off a diet of nutritious metals as Val’s own ancestors can, instead it balances out a dietary requirement of a flesh and blood terrestrial creature and keeps Val’s scale coat shiny.
Valadile is not immune to weapons or firearms, the scales are only as strong as Val's diet of metals. Failing to eat metals results in scale loss, making them only as good as Val's ability to acquire metals for.The flesh hide beneath these scales is very tough and has a gravelly texture to it, but you wouldn’t know that under normal circumstances.
Valadile’s tail serves a purpose as a war-scythe. It is completely prehensile and the scales interlock, releasing to allow Valadile’s fleshy tail to stretch and catch prey. Valadile is an Agile Ambush predator.
Valadile's ancestors are sensitive to magnetic forces and can see and feel electrical currents. Valadile can feel energy sources, especially if they are strong, but cannot see magnetic forces. Val can surely be manipulated by strong magnetic forces, however and is capable of magnetizing it's scaly shell at certain points.
Reputation: Valadile was part of a large same-species pirate crew that comes from the outer reaches and is known as an electronics/mechanicals thief, preferring to salvage abandoned devices but not afraid to steal your thermostat or microwave if it looks like something Valadile needs components from. Only Spacers really might reconigze Valadile personally as their crew were not choosy on whom they picked on.
APPEARANCE
This quadrupedal scaled monster strides into a room warily, inspecting every individual and then the room itself before talking. Valadile’s white hide is covered in what appears to be metallic-looking scales. There are no bands or colorized features aside bright orange eyes and an often blood-stained snout, though the beast has been known to change colors if the metals it consumes have dyes in them. It stands eight foot at the shoulder with chrome spiny frills running down it’s neck, back and stopping just before the tail. It's orange eyes have a chrome sheen, the pupils change regularily from being narrow slits to wide rounds.
Valadile has a sturdy steel chain wrapped around it’s torso. A worn down, heavily modified (and heavily repaired) LMG is attached to the chains and resting on it's back. The LMG has been cut down to it's bare skeleton and anyone with rudimentary understanding of firearms can tell it's more trouble than it's worth. A small toolbox hangs off the left side like a saddlebag, connected to the chain. Tools rattle about inside.
BEHAVIOR
A general idea of this character's mannerisms, skills, language, personality, and other major mental traits. This section can be as long or short as desired, and is entirely optional.
Quiet. Paranoid. Loyal?
Valadile has been known to be loyal, even dive in front of gunfire to save comrades in battle or volunteer to be point in a breach-and-clear (in two known instances) but would you take the word of a giant metal lizard?
What is known is that Valaidle has personal motives. Goals that it will achieve, no matter what, at probably anyone's expense. One would descrive Valadile as, if not Psychotic, then borderline Sociopathic and Paranoid. What could it be Paranoid of?
Valadile speaks a native tongue and only one very common dialect learned with it's time here.
GOALS
Valadile is a crash-landed alien from who-knows-where and seeks to return back into orbit independantly. Most likely the last surviving member of it's crew.
RELATIONSHIPS
Most wouldn't describe Val as a Xenophile, it prefers easier targets.
Valadile has no known family other than a Mother and Father documented by one Ironbrains. Valadile has seventeen offspring, most likely dead.
—
A special set of skills. Gained over the course of a lifetime.
Valadile is a generalized metal worker. Machinist, Armor & Weapon smith, smelter operator & firearms specialist. Val loves guns and vehicles both ground and airborne. Valadile's secondary skill is murdering people. Over the course of time, Valadile has come to learn how to identify and repair basic electronics.

HISTORY
Valadile was born outside of it’s parent faction, aboard a convoy of colonists-turned-merciless-pirates over resource shortages and feuds. It was successful in the fact that it was originally an orbital colony and had plenty of ships and factories to work with. Until, eventually, the Parent faction destroyed it for going rogue.
Valadile grew up in a very old generational ship, freebooting and marauding on a daily basis. Until eventually they picked on someone with equal guts and met their end. Valadile does not know if anyone else survived.
